At Hybrid Health Performance in Bakersfield, we're committed to providing the most effective and innovative treatments to support your muscle recovery and overall wellness. Two of our standout therapies are localized cryotherapy and radial shockwave therapy, each offering unique benefits to help you bounce back stronger than ever.
Localized Cryotherapy Localized cryotherapy targets specific areas of the body with extremely cold temperatures, typically using a handheld device. This treatment is particularly effective for reducing pain, inflammation, and swelling in muscles and joints. By exposing the targeted area to cold, blood vessels constrict and then dilate, which promotes increased blood flow and nutrient delivery to the affected area. This accelerates the healing process and reduces recovery time. Benefits of localized cryotherapy include:
Radial Shockwave Therapy Radial shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in injured tissues. This therapy is highly effective for treating chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions, such as tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and muscle strains. The acoustic waves increase blood flow, promote the formation of new blood vessels, and stimulate the production of collagen, which is essential for tissue repair and regeneration. Benefits of radial shockwave therapy include:

Using protein powder may also aid weight loss and help people tone their muscles. Also, great when in a jam and can't eat. So makes it for an easy and quick source of protein. Brett: Creatine Creatine is a natural supplement that has many proven benefits. Creatine helps muscle cells produce more energy and supports muscular function. When paired with high intensity exercise it can improve performance and increase lean muscle mass. It may also boost brain function, fight certain neurological diseases and aid in muscle recovery. Creatine is a great daily supplement for overall health and athletic performance. Just 5mg is all that is needed. Lucy: Omega-3 Women benefit more as omega-3 protects against certain conditions that affect only women such as menstrual pain, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Omega-3 has been show to help with bone density, in conjunction with calcium. Omega-3 can fend off depression too. Recent reviews found omega-3 supplements to be effective against major depression (but not anxiety disorders). Omega-3 cannot be made by your body, so you need to eat foods that are rich in omega-3 such as salmon, walnuts and flaxseeds. If you are not a fish or nuts and seeds eater, omega-3 supplements are available. Vice: Turmeric Turmeric is a vibrant yellow spice which belongs to the ginger family. Its primary active compound is curcumin, which gives turmeric its distinctive color. Here are some of its remarkable health benefits:
